and grew up in small towns in
Minnesota
and spend many summers on my Grandparent’s farm, five miles
east of Northwood. I
attended
Iowa
State
University
and graduated with a degree in Social Work.
I worked as a Social Worker for Catholic Charities of the
Archdiocese of Dubuque, Iowa in
Mason City
,
Iowa
for three years before I went to seminary.
I attended Luther Seminary at
St. Paul
,
Minnesota
, with one semester at the Lutheran House of Studies in
Washington
D.C.
I met my wife,
Bonnie Kay, at seminary. We
were married during my internship year, which I spent at
Rolla
,
North Dakota
. My first call was
to
Trinity
Lutheran
Church
in
Riga
,
Michigan
1985-1989. Then I
served in Metro-Detroit at Our Savior’s Lutheran in Madison
Heights, Michigan, 1989-1992.
My Son, Daniel, who is now 16, was born while we were at
Madison Heights
. My next call was
to an open country congregation,
St. John
– Vilmar, where we served from 1992-1996.
I was called to Immanuel and North Prairie, Scarville and
came in January of 1997. In
March of 2003, I accepted the call to serve as a Pastor in the
One in Christ Lutheran Parish. |
